WITH Belle Voci Women's Vocal Ensemble, Margaret Green, director
and Choral Conspiracy mixed ensemble, Joan Szymko, director

FEATURING Guy Tyler, double bass; Eric Schrepel and Brian Gardiner, marimba, percussion; Ann Crandall & Beth Heller, bassoons; Ellen Lindquist, harp; Geraldine Murray, hard shoe

Composer Joan Szymko presents a concert of new choral works: interesting collaborations, atypical instrumental accompaniment, settings of thought provoking, uplifting poetry by Rilke, Blake and Sufi masters, Rumi and Hafiz. She has enlisted the participation of twenty-four men and women from some of Portland's finest choral ensembles to breathe life into nine new works for mixed choir. Belle Voci, a select ensemble of women's voices, will give the Portland premiere of This Wonderful Feeling. The two ensembles will join forces to open and close the concert.
